Privacy policy
Version 1, 2026-09-08.
Opair is an entirely local application. It runs on your machine, under your user account. There are no server-side components and we do not operate any infrastructure that receives data from it.
What we collect
Nothing. Opair does not collect or store any data at all. There's no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts and no cookies.
Local storage
Session transcripts are saved to your local file system,
in the sessions/ subdirectory
of the Opair configuration directory.
They contain your prompts,
responses and tool activity,
including anything that you send
to LLM providers and MCP servers.
Transcripts stay on your machine;
we never receive copies of them.
If you want them gone,
delete the directory.
Third-party services you configure
Opair sends data only to services that you explicitly configure. You are responsible for those configurations.
LLM providers
Prompts, source files and tool results are transmitted to whichever LLM providers you configure, under your own account with that provider. How that data is handled is governed by the provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.
MCP servers
Opair can connect to Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that you configure. Data sent to or received from an MCP server is determined by your configuration and the prompts that you write. Opair is not a party to your relationship with those servers.
